Okay, so I gave into the peer pressure encouragement.

From now on, For Want of a Physicist will be available for your reading pleasure at its own journal, [livejournal.com profile] fwoap. That will be updating every day or so until it's caught up to where I've posted here, with the chapters posted there being deleted from here as I go.

I will also be doing some editing in the process of transferring them from journal to journal, so if you'd like to see the differences, that's how to go about it.

Forward, into my mad descent adventure! And whatnot.

On a completely unrelated note, I hung out with my also unrelated sister-cousin Chelsie today. 'Twas fun! We had dinner and saw a movie. There was surprisingly little catching up to do, given that we haven't seen each other in two years. She has a job and a boyfriend, and I have a hole in my face. Also, she was totally at a strip club last night with her boyfriend, which I found hilarious.

On another unrelated note, I sound even more like a teenager in real life!

oh god, dont remind me of strip clubs. i tend to get very VERY drunk at strip clubs becasue i get bored because the chicks don't know long division.

Indeed. I can see how that would be a turn off.

On a slightly related note, I hate polynomial long division. Mostly because it took me a good twenty minutes to understand it and it made me feel dumb.

pshaw, i have a supposed iq of 163 and it took me like 10 years to understand string theory... summed up in "when these tiny invisible strings cross paths, they make a subatomic particle".

find me a goddamn stripper who knows why benzene rings are more stable than cyclohexane and i can die a happy man.

i'd still be pleased to find a stripper that can understand string theory.

i'd even settle for slipping a few dollars to one that can do long division. :)

Strippers think string theory involves the letter "g".

If I remember correctly, there are two methods to doing polynomial long division. One of those I can do and the other involves factoring. I am not fond of factoring.

Although I swear I could recall a time where I actually knew how to factor. But maybe that wasn't actually me after all.

no, No, I get it now, I just had to stare at it and de-color code the book. It's cool.

It's actually kind of fun now I know what the hell I'm doing. Though yes, I think synthetic division is easier.

Okay, I'm probably being dense here, but I'm confused. What don't you agree with me about now?
