Okay, so, the Hat of Adventuring was totally working...until today. I mean, blah first day of summer school, woohoo, whatever. Then I left early to go to my not really cousin's graduation.

The whole thing is really too complicated to go into now...or ever...but basically I don't understand how someone I counted as family all my life could act like such a complete bitch to people who not only might as well be her family, but people who actually are.

I mean, it's one thing to turn your back on your best friend of twenty years (!) and another to turn your back on your freakin' sister.

Both are pretty bad, but still.

Okay, none of us are perfect, yeah, BUT that doesn't mean you need to cut us completely out of your entire family's life.

They're our family too, you jackass.

OKAY WELL sorry about that but jesus christ some people really need to be punched in the face more often, you know?

Well, having people you always considered closer than your real family start blowing you off because your mother did something to piss off their mother (ie, make a decision by herself) is pretty extreme, in my opinion. I mean, I've called these people my sisters and cousins and I have never called them anything but family since I got old enough to make that distinction, and I haven't talked to any of them for more than three years now, except for the one who is now also being effectively ostracized, off and on.

It isn't a matter of understanding anything. I don't understand any of it, to tell you the truth. I don't understand why someone would do that to their family, especially since we aren't blood family. We chose each other. I guess Cheryl is allowed to un-choose us, but it just seems stupid and unnecessary to make sure the rest of the family locks us out too.

yeah, see, i can't even-- er. i can't even contemplate functioning without the people i have know that long. it would be like cutting off my own arm and then trying to sew on someone else's.

ANYWAY. OMG JUST WATCHED ALL OF HEROES SEASON ONE AND YOU WERE RIGHT IT IS AWESOME HOLY CRAP WHY WAS I NOT ON THIS BANDWAGON SOONER.

And YES! I KNOW, RIGHT? (unfortunately, I don't think season two is up to the same level. At least, not the first half, which I actually watched. I don't know what happened after that. Maybe it got better? I don't know.)

The first half was all their was of season 2. They ended it early because of the strike. Then again, you could be saying that you only watched the first half of the first half in which case yes you did only watch the first half of season 2 and I am correcting you for no reason and this is a really long run on sentence that I just couldn't see ending without mentioning that because wow, what a long sentence, seriously.
