I just came up with this, and I think it is cute. So I am posting it, because...well, because I can. And also I doubt it will ever see the light of day otherwise.

"Are you okay?"

"Oh, I'm okay. I'm more than okay. I'm so okay, I make okay look upset."

"...you're not okay."

"No I am not," he agreed.

...and that's all.

Every once in a while I come up with two or three line exchanges like this and then I want to write a story around it. But then I realize I don't know what that story would be and nothing ever becomes of it.

This is why I decided to post this. Because hell if I'm ever going to have characters appropriate for it, let alone a story to go with it.

But it's kind of neat. (I have a ton of these kinds of exchanges lying around in old notebooks.)
